YELLOWSTONE IS INDIAN COUNTRY
August 27 - Sept 5, 2009 ONE PLACE LEFT!
The Place of the Yellow Rock Water. Indians called it home for over 10,000 years. It is a fallacy that Indians feared this great land of magnificent and numerous geysers – the Cheyenne, Kiowa, Shoshone, Bannock, Blackfeet, Nez Perce, and the most recent arrivals, the Crow, know a different story and from the earliest experience it was gleaned that the earth in the Place of Yellow Rock Water was uneasy with itself, and, that there, creation was neither finished nor content.
In this land which grizzly and black bears, elk, moose, wolves and buffalo call their ancient home, you can experience the beauty, hear cultural interpretations, and follow the paths the Old Ones traversed through the land of the Yellow Rock Water on a unique journey to the awe-inspiring pine studded mountains, rugged valleys and verdant meadows of a geothermal wonderland.
WALK IN BEAUTY 17th - 24th October 2009
Navajo philosophy is epitomized by the phrase ‘Walk In Beauty’, from the sacred prayer, the Blessing Way. Aspiring to that spirit, we enter deep into the cultures and landscapes of this Southwestern tribal nation and enveloped by Dine Bikeyah, the sacred Navajo homeland, the Beautyway Chant comes to life. On this special journey you follow the breath of freedom through the sacred, the historic, the triumphs and tragedies, the beauty of the land and the resilience of the human spirit.
APACHE! 25th October - 1st November 2009
Legendary names and deeds reverberate through the canyons, mountains and deserts of Apache homelands and the hearts and imaginations that create history, and you follow the trails of freedom fighters whose names live on, listen to tribal perspectives and move into the territory that is truly their homeland; the domain they fought to preserve and protect, along with their traditional way of life. In the canyons where it is said that the wind still carries their names, we experience them all and more.
ANCIENT WAYS OF THE HOPI
BOOKINGS OPENING SOON FOR 2010
June 28-July 5, 2009
Take this rare invitation to travel with unprecedented access to the secluded Hopi Mesas; a place of stark and beautiful endurance where the clan lifeway is about raising the short blue-eared corn which symbolizes the homelands, culture and responsibilities given to the Hopi clans by Ma'saw as they emerged from the Third Way of Life to this, the Fourth World.
Walk beyond the Western world to an ancient cultural realm where the truly important things of life are recognized, revered and celebrated. Definitely one for your 'Life List'.
CHEYENNE HEARTSONG
August 8 - 16, 2009 ENDED
“The Dog Soldiers were the most famous of the Cheyenne bands and the least understood by the whites,” recollected George Bent, the illustrious Southern Cheyenne historian. On this amazing Go Native America Ed-venture, we search for that understanding and discover the Dog Soldiers as we traverse Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma, as we go deep into the Dog Soldiers’ heartland, the inspiring Smoky Hill Country of Kansas, as we follow the Dog Soldiers struggle to preserve and protect the Cheyenne Nation, from the Hancock Campaign to Beecher Island, and to the Washita where the Dog Soldiers weren’t, but were supposed to be.
Past Tour Members Say...
"I'm just now starting to feel grounded back in my own home and surroundings since returning; it felt good to get home, though I realized I was different, and that the past 18 days had changed me. I know it will take some time to integrate all that I had experienced, and I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to experience the wild and beautiful Indian lands of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. Such wondrous beauty I saw during the tour, and I'll never forget the buffalo and grizzlies."

Please extend all of our gratitude to everyone for making us feel at home and sharing all that they did on our big adventure. We felt that everyone bent over backwards to make our time special and that it was! We all had a FANTASTIC adventure. It was good to be disconnected from the high tech, fast paced life for a while. We all felt like we were gone for a month, not 10 days and I think it will take a bit of time to digest all the experiences.
