Lakota Proverb
“Tell me, and I will listen.
Show me, and I will understand.
Involve me, and I will learn.”
"Omaúiyaúa úiñhañ anawaðopþañ kta ye.
Maúiöazo úiñhañ owaúaüniðe kta ye.
Aopemaúiye úiñhañ uñmasöe kta ye."
I think the sacred is something that is purchased with sacrifice. Actually, I believe that the words sacred and sacrifice are probably related in some important way. To me, that which is sacred is earned. The obvious example would be a battlefield, land that is purchased at the cost of blood, which makes it sacred. ... where words touch the earth there is the sacred, so I think it is possible to endow the earth with a sacred aspect by means of language, by means of story, by means of words.

Go Native America journeys offer a unique experience. We differ to tours operators in many ways, and we are proud to take visitors,
not “tourists".
- Our groups are small and therefore we want to have direct contact with all prospective tour members before confirming bookings.
- We want to be sure you are booking the right journey for yourself and you'll find our specialist knowledge very useful in making your decision.
- Of course we also need to be sure that there is availability on the trip of your choice.
Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and you may download your booking form below. Please complete and mail the form, along with your deposit to the address opposite.
